Meet Laurie

As an active Visual Designer since 2001 based in the Rochester, NY area, I divide my constant love for being creative between special event stationery, custom designed gifts and 
business branding and marketing. I have an extensive background in a variety of design arenas including an education in art, working for a local advertising agency, and running my own design company, formerly known as Envi Creative. I started my design business in 2007, initially focusing on business marketing, and eventually incorporating special event stationery. When I was planning my own wedding in 2006, after seeing the typical catalog style invitations I knew I needed to shake things up and create my own! I fell in love with bringing this fresh and unique approach to wedding announcements and continued to flourish from there!

I enjoy spending time with friends and family (husband, Brian, son, Collin who is growing up way too fast, and our pups, Riley, Lizzie and Hazel (the nut)...she actually has her own Instagram page: www.instagram.com/hazel.the.nut.xo/

I also enjoy making anything with my cricut (think custom signs, and shirts and gifts for bridesmaids–hint hint! Special section coming soon on my website!), interior design, photography and being outdoors and traveling whenever possible–preferably to anywhere on a coast!

​I am a locally owned, small business, not a big corporation, and I truly and passionately love what I do! Here's what that means for my customers...
  • All of my invitations are custom designed to reflect your unique style, personality, culture and will truly be one of a kind. I work one on one with you; You can choose themes, colors, fonts, wording, etc, you are not limited whatsoever to what you see on my website!
  • I have a lot of couples that really don't know what they want, they aren't creative, or don't want to have one more thing to think about...this is where I come in to help create something that will reflect your style and personality and not have to stress about it! Some couples just want something classic and simple, and that's ok, there are many ways to give your classic and simple invitation a little edge above the rest!
  • No event is too small or too big, with no minimum orders, you can order as many (or as few) invitations as you need. You don't know people in batches of 25, so why do you have to order invitations in batches of 25? You DON'T.
  • Because I AM my company, I take pride in my work, each invitation is designed, proofed and assembled by me personally, so you know you'll be getting just what you envisioned and more. Please be aware that some online companies (and very reputable ones) do not proof your invites–I've received invitations with NO WEDDING DATE, THE WRONG ADDRESS, and more, I am not even kidding!
  • My background is in Graphic Design, I work with Adobe Creative Cloud Software programs, so every aspect of your design is perfect, I have thousands of fonts, knowing the ins and outs of typography and being able to make your font .10 pts thicker if needed, for example, is not something a casual designer on programs like Canvas can pull off.
  • I strive to provide the best customer service possible. Getting quality customer service these days is becoming a thing of the past, especially from large companies. Communication, attention to detail, customer satisfaction, competitive pricing and quality products are all top priority for my clients.
